An old one

Just found this old scan from Iballa, in it's simplicity, still is one of my favorite windsurfing pictures, I think it really captures that sensation of fun & fly.

Just found thesse two scans from old slides; the one from Francisco Goya must be from 1999 or 2000 and the one from Victor Fernandez 2003 or 2004.

Tino's garage

If I'm not wrong, Tino's was the first board storage in Pozo Izquierdo and has plenty of old (classic) stuff there, as for instance, that yellow and pink sail in the picture, which if I'm not wrong is one of the first small sails for Pozo Izquierdo Björn Dunkerbeck ever had.

Moritz Mauch

I just found these old pictures (2007) from Moritz, I think he was 11 and already windsurfing in Pozo Izquierdo, he was using a kite board his father prepared with a mast box for him.
Under these lines you can see him a few weeks ago.
I’ve been taking pictures in Pozo Izquierdo for 15 years now, so I’m starting to have a small peace of history, I’ll keep posting some old stuff.

Relax

I've been a few days in Lanzarote, no computer, no camera, just relaxing; so now I just wanted to post something, so I went to one of the old external hard disks, opened the first folder and saw this picture from the Twins just relaxing a few years ago in a no wind day at Pozo Izquierdo.

My first time

I just found this scan from a slide of my very first session shooting from the water in Pozo Izquierdo, I know it's not amazing action in the picture, but nice memories, for sure. I did not even had a proper water housing at that time, I had my camera in one of those spcecial plastic bags, and of course I waited for Björn Dunkerbeck to be in the water for what was a very special moment for me.

Where's Wally?

Just recovered a CD with old pictures, some of them were impossible to open, but found this little gem, a helicopter shot at the PWA event in Pozo Izquierdo (I don't remember the year), with some classic characters on the beach, such as Robby Naish, John Carter, Jerome Houvet and Antoine Albeau among others.

FUNatic

This picture is like 20 years old, that was my room at my parents house, a few years before moving to the Canay Islands, I watch the picture now and kind of everything makes sense, windsurfing was too strong inside me to keep on with a "regular" life.

13 years

Looks like yesterday to me, but was on Agust 13, 1996 when I arrived to Gran Canaria, so it's 13 years now... let´s see if I can recover my old film scanner and post some of my first photos on the island.

the first shot was a session for the cover of the spanish magazine Fuerza 7, the second was for the 2004 Simmer Style brochure, both, Jonas and Victor are amazing windsurfers to shot from the water

My worse picture ever

I'm starting the blog with my worse photo ever. Was one of those days in Pozo with gusts over 65 knots, Bjorn was just fliying, in this particular shot, I clearly remember myself thinking: "Dani, you are having the sequence of your life" and I started shoting, but just listened one "click" and then... the rewind of the roll, and Bjorn was still going higher and higher... I couldn't believe I had just shoted the last picture of the roll at the very begining of the highest jump I've ever seen, Bjorn easyly went double the heigh you see on the picture.
