Dario & the table top

Dario Ojeda is one of the few still doing table tops, I mean, propper ones, and this morning in Pozo Izquierdo I enjoyed one of them just in front of my camera.
The picture is not great but I can tell you the jump was amazing, the thing with table tops for the pictures from the water is that they look better a little bit more sideways instead of from a stright front angle.
The forecast is looking good (but some calima is expected) so let's see what we can do in the next days.

Despite we had such a good autumn for windsurfing, we can't say the same for the winter so far, so I went to my hard disc to give a second chance to the unselected pictures from the fall sessions.

Overcast

There's not too much you can do when you are shooting in the water with all the settings for a briliant blue sky and suddently a huge colud covers the sky, so I kept shooting for a while knowing that black and white would be the only option for most of the pictures I was taking, but at least we were having a good windsurfing session.

Drops everywhere

As I already said at my previous post, this first session at Mosca Point with the fisheye lens was not easy at all, I saw from my house people were windsurfing there and I just went, so I never talked with the guys about the kind of photos we could do with the present conditions and this kind of lens, and despite wind wasn’t strong and waves weren’t big, current was a big issue, it was really hard for me to stay were I wanted to be, so at the end I couldn’t do any of the pictures I wanted, but even though and despite de drops everywhere, I’m happy with this first session and I had a lot of fun watching the action from the best seat in the house.

Of course I got worked on the shorebreak over the reef on my way back to land, but nothing really bad.

First attempt

This afternoon I tried for the first time the fisheye for windsurfing watershots; conditions were far from perfect at Mosca Point, waves were kind of broken and messy, and the current was soo strong, as always is over there, but the worse were the drops on the port lens, I've been recommended saliva or potato, well, non of those work for me, and as the port lens is not glass, it's plastic I can't use anything based on alcohol or any dissolvent, any ideas?

First session

I couldn’t expect a better welcome in Pozo Izquierdo, as I am completely out of shape, the light conditions we had this weekend have been perfect for my comeback, I had two windsurfing session with moderate wind and small waves (nearly flat) and later on, the wind picked up, waves got a little bit better and I could take some pictures, here you have just a preview, but now I’m destroyed and I have to wake up early tomorrow, so I’ll post more pictures during the week.

By the way, big changes in town, there’s a new shop in Pozo Izquierdo, Jonas Carlson and Javi Espín just opened POZO WINDS.

The sandbar

We are having a lot of sand now in Pozo Izquierdo, so I can stand up on the sandbar to take pictures comfortably from the water which is great, because allows me all the control I need for frame and forcus but I can stay really close to the action and have water angle.

Knee high (part 1)

Here you have a few more pictures from the freeride session we had this afternoon at Pozo Izquierdo, where the local crew made the most of the mushy knee high waves breaking on the sandbar where I was standing up with my camera (inside de housing, of course), so I did not even had to swim to be where the action was.
