I know I said I would post today more pictures from yesterday afternoon, but I'm so tired after the session I had this afternoon in super gusty conditions and well underpowered with 4,7 that I just need to stretch and go to bed early. The wind is supposed to die for two days, so I'll have time to edit the pictures then.

Of course I was not doing a post without pictures, so here's one of the end of the session, the wind dropped and Pablo changed from the small to the medium board (the one in the picture) which seems to work really well in all kind of conditions.

Overcast

There's not too much you can do when you are shooting in the water with all the settings for a briliant blue sky and suddently a huge colud covers the sky, so I kept shooting for a while knowing that black and white would be the only option for most of the pictures I was taking, but at least we were having a good windsurfing session.

First session

I couldn’t expect a better welcome in Pozo Izquierdo, as I am completely out of shape, the light conditions we had this weekend have been perfect for my comeback, I had two windsurfing session with moderate wind and small waves (nearly flat) and later on, the wind picked up, waves got a little bit better and I could take some pictures, here you have just a preview, but now I’m destroyed and I have to wake up early tomorrow, so I’ll post more pictures during the week.

By the way, big changes in town, there’s a new shop in Pozo Izquierdo, Jonas Carlson and Javi Espín just opened POZO WINDS.

Small conditions this weekend with an unusual wind direction, so we had to move to find the right spots for the conditions.

Power and style

Let's not forget the basics, because, in my opinion, the rail to rail surfing is the base every windsurfer should have to start building his waveriding from there.

Everybody can go down the line with a twinzer and do some kind of off the top or even a little aerial, but not everybody can do a propper carving turn, the classic rail to rail, which might look old and easy, but it's not, definitely not, and I don't mean to put a little bit of rail at the start of the turn and finish with the board flat at the top of the wave, I mean keeping the rail all the way to the end of the turn, there's not that many guys who can do that.

The sandbar

We are having a lot of sand now in Pozo Izquierdo, so I can stand up on the sandbar to take pictures comfortably from the water which is great, because allows me all the control I need for frame and forcus but I can stay really close to the action and have water angle.

We had a few fun days last week at Pozo Izquierdo and I had a couple of nice sessions taking pictures from the water, this day in particular was a little bit crowded, so I could take a lot of pictures but I also missed some nice shots, I was specially unlucky with Omar Sanchez, who was one of the infrom windsurfers of the session, but beacuse of drops or focus issues, I missed a couple of really good jumps just in front of me.
